The THFxDenkmalwerkstatt is an continuous public format of the Denkmalwerkstatt at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. Since 2022 I have been working as moderator of the live events and as author/editor on the publications of the Denkmalwerkstatt. I am interested in the tension between different usage scenarios of the historic airport, participation processes, stakeholder management and the requirements that the monument entails.
On the Denkmalwerkstatt website, we allow the interested public to participate in this process. We work out the different layers of time and meaning and thus give the monument a voice.
