SuperCoop Berlin eG is one of the first cooperative supermarkets in Germany. More than 1,750 people (as of Jan. 2025) are employees, customers and co-owners alike. They each own at least one cooperative share and are therefore entitled to make purchases. I have been part of the SuperCoop founding team from the very beginning and, as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, I am in close contact with the Executive Board team on a regular basis. For me, SuperCoop is one of the most inspiring examples of self-organized infrastructures. I am proud to say that I am a co-owner of a supermarket.
